The plain-English version: Macrocycle is a planning and tracking tool for adults, not medical advice. Pro is a subscription billed by Apple that you can cancel any time. Your logged data is yours, it lives on your device, and nothing you logged is ever locked away — even if you stop paying.

1. Who we are

Macrocycle is an iOS app operated by Mario de Lima, based in the Netherlands. You can reach us at hello@macrocycle.co.

2. What Macrocycle is — and isn't

Macrocycle helps you plan and track body-composition phases: calorie and macro targets, weekly adjustments, trend weight, and phase timing. It is an information and planning tool for healthy adults with experience of structured dieting.

It is not medical advice, and using it does not create any practitioner–patient relationship. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before starting a diet if you have any medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a history of disordered eating — and stop using calorie targets that a professional has advised against. The app enforces minimum-calorie floors and warns on extreme entries, but those safeguards are not a substitute for professional judgement.

Macrocycle is intended for people aged 18 or over.

3. Your data

Your food logs, weights, and settings are stored on your device and belong to you. How data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.

4. Macrocycle Pro

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) purchased through Apple. The exact price is shown in the App Store before you buy and may vary by region.
Where a free trial is offered, you can cancel before it ends and pay nothing.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings; billing and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.
If your subscription lapses, the app returns to the free tier. Every log, weight, and setting stays exactly where it was.

5. Fair use

Macrocycle is for your personal, non-commercial use. Don't copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the app, and don't use it in a way that breaks the law.

6. Ownership

The app, its design, and its content are ours. The data you log is yours.

7. Liability

Macrocycle is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects the statutory rights you hold as a consumer.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app or on this site before it takes effect.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep any mandatory protections of the country you live in.
